Cowboy Stadium, visible for several miles from the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, is a distinctively modern structure that is anchored by two giant steel arches in the suburb of Arlington. According to officials, it's the largest, most technologically advanced entertainment venue in the world.
The stadium, which seats 100,000, was built primarily to host home games for the Dallas Cowboys NFL team; however, it still has amenities for events of all kinds.
For the best views of games and concerts, the stadium has 300 luxury suites and VIP Club seating on multiple levels. The stadium's also home to world’s largest high-definition LCD video board and a retractable roof that's used when it's too rainy, windy or hot.
Visitors don't have to wait for a sports or music event to check out the stadium. Tours are offered every day and begin at the Cowboys ProShop, which is open year-round.
Visitors are treated to an informative and entertaining trek through the pro shop, Founders Club, press box, scoreboard control room, silver-level platform, VIP suite, player interview room, Cowboys locker room and even the playing field.
The stadium staff recommends comfortable walking shoes for all tours. Cameras and video recorders are allowed, but food isn't. There's no smoking at Cowboys Stadium or the surrounding grounds.
The hour-long tours are offered Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a new tour starting every 15 minutes. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for children and seniors and free for children under 5. Group discounts are available.
To book individual tours or for more information, call (817) 892-8687. To book group tours and get information on available group discounts, call (817) 892-8688.
Especially during game time, the stadium can be a little tricky to get into and park. As an added service to guests, the stadium management has created a helpful online parking tool to help patrons get the best directions and parking. Just enter a starting zip code and the desired or assigned parking lot number.
