Six Flags Over TexasSince 1963, families and thrill-seekers have made Six Flags Over Texas one of the top amusement attractions in the Southwest. Six Flags Over Texas features more than 100 thrilling rides and attractions, including mega-coasters like Titan and the Texas Giant. The park works hard to please kids of all ages with roller coasters for the big kids, plus a variety of family-friendly shows and attractions, including themed areas like Looney Tunes USA. From maximum thrill rated rides like Batman the Ride to the relaxing rumble of Six Flags’ 107-year-old Charles Jefferson Patton steam engine train ride, there is something for everyone. Though the park has expanded and updated its rides and attractions over the years, visitors can still find many of the original rides and landmarks in the park, including the Texas Chute Out and the iconic red Oil Derrick Tower. From the top of both, one can see the vistas of Dallas and Fort Worth. Of course, one can enjoy the view a slightly little longer at the top of the oil derrick vs. the few seconds at the top of the chute ride. - by Jenn Emerson, Dallas Reporter for HelloMetro (Click to leave a message) Jenn EmersonA veteran of the advertising world, chances are you bought, drank or drove something because of Jenn’s ad copy.
