Masala WokThe only problem with Masala Wok is that its entrees are more than large enough to share, and the food is good enough that darn it, sometimes you just don’t want to.This busy spot makes all its Indian and Indo-Chinese (blending wok cooking with Indian spices) dishes fresh to order. Inside, delicious cooking smells warm up the buzzing, happy dining room. Order at the register, then employees bring your food to your table. Start off with crispy kabobs ($4.99) or spring rolls ($4.99) as an appetizer (especially if you’re going to share the entrée). For your main dish, you have the option of a few different cooking styles. Sauced dishes are simmered in thick, spicy curries or creams. Try the Chicken Tikka Masala ($8.49), perfectly spiced and served with a generous helping of rice and a huge piece of warm nan bread. The wok entrees are served with basmati rice, brown rice, or noodles. (Going low-carb? Ask for veggies instead.) Choose from chicken, shrimp, veggies, or paneer (a fresh Indian cheese). Also available are wraps and noodle bowls. Don’t miss Masala Wok’s desserts ($2.99). Feeling a little warmed up from the spicy food? Try the cold Ras Malai , a dish of cheese patties bathed in sweet condensed milk. If you’re a bit chilly, try the Galab Jamun, balls of fried pastry swimming in honey syrup. There’s also a tres leches cake drizzled with caramel and raspberry sauce. All three desserts go well with a hot cup of milky chai ($1.25).
