Went to eat there last week. Food was amazing and the waiter was really good. He told us they had a bar upstairs. Went and did that and the bartender (sarah) made a point to remember our names and drinks. Went back a few nights later and she remember our names and poured the drinks we like without even having to ask. Can't wait for summer at this place, looks like the outside deck area will be great.

Pros: ambience, food, drinks, clientel, service

Cons: kind of confusing for first timers

Good food, cool decor, service was a mixed bag

My friend and I had reservations on a weekday evening during Restaurant Week. We were seated promptly. We chose to go with the wine pairings and added a fourth course to the standard 3 course Menu. The food was excellent and the wine pairings were quite good. I particularly loved the sushi appetizer. The only complaint is that the wine pairing with the main entree did not arrive with the main entree. It took us mentioning it to 3 waiters before we finally got the pairings. On the bright side, the restaurant comped us for the wine pairings without us having to ask them. Overall it seems our experience was better than those of the last few reviewers. I hope Fuse is on an upswing.

Pros: Tasty food, good wines, cool decor, nice patio

Cons: Service can miss on occasion, can get expensive

Poor Management

We had reservations at Fuse tonight for 14 at 8:30. Our entire party was at the restaurant by 8:20. We were bumped by another table of 14 out of an inside table and seated on the patio ( in the Texas heat) at 9:05. After placing our orders we were informed that the kitchen was backed up and our meals would be delayed. We complained to management about our problems (so far) with our visit, and were informed that we should have known better than to make a reservation for 14, at 8:30, on a Saturday night. Our food finally started arriving at about 10pm. The volcano roll was quite bland, and the scallops were overcooked. The downtown roll had the faintest hint of soap (yuck). The Fuse roll is an obvious rip off of the Julie roll at Blue Fish (which is SO much better). The tornado roll is quite bland, and while the Thai roll was the best of what I ordered, the banana overpowers all of the other flavors. All of the rolls were poorly made, and came undone when picking them up. We had a party of 18 at Nick's seafood in Addison last weekend, and had no problem getting in. We had better food, service, and a better time than this weekend. People in Dallas have too many choices for a restaurant to perform this poorly and get away with it. If you are going to spend as much as we did for dinner, I recommend that you try Perry's, Bob's, Blue Fish, The Grape, Sushi Zushi, or Abacus.

Pros: Great space, location

Cons: Average food for above average price, poor management
