Artist Bio
I live and work in Dallas Texas. I was born in "Tinguindin" which is a beautiful town in the state of Michoican Mexico.
I paint using strong colors incorporting oil pastels, my favorite medium. The subject of the majority of my current works are the indeginous indian people of my small home town Tinguindin. My love of painting goes back to memories of my childhood . I clearly recall taking my mothers blue dye (which was used for washing clothes) and using it with which to paint...
another great artistic memory as a young child was seeing the talented artist go to our town church who would create hugh paintings sometimes measuring 10 feet by 10 feet that simply take your breath away. I have included a photo of the church and if you will look at the walls you will see those paintings.
