Stuart Boswell was a member of the Hare Krishna movement in the 1980’s. Between the Sheets incorporates four actual dhoti’s worn by the artist. Hare Krishna’s believe everything has its place, and that includes sex. When sex takes place within marriage, and for the sake of procreation, it's acceptable. The blue cloth represents Stuart’s interference of the regiment of religious fervor. The red frame (not shown) represents the Western mentality of dealing with Eastern concepts.
