Balch Springs Christian Academy Reviews

I love BSCA. My two children go there and they learn lots and there is discipline in place. Any parent that feels that there is too much work and the rules are too strict should reconsider their childs enrollment. Public school is a 'free ride'. Parents must pay tuition for their children to attend and I like to get what I pay for. Dr. Henderson and the staff are good, God loving christians and you can see it. Thank God for BSCA.

Ok for grade school bur definatley not for high school. Those associated with the leaders (pastor) get special privileges and the other students see it therefore it causes low moral.

Great school, with great kids, teaching morals as well as teaching my child to be a chirstian and giving her a better education than public schools.

i think they care more about the dress code than their work it just doesnt make any since

I think they care more about the dress code than their work and then they send too much homework home for the kids their dicipline is like a juvenile i simply dont like it and the only reason my child is in the that school is because of my husband

We truly enjoy BSCA, The teachers are among the best a parent can ask for. Our children are taught a meaningful Christian Education with God as #1 in our lives.

My kids have attended private school thier entire lives so we are used to strict rules at B.S.C.A., I have found the teachers, and office staff to be very helpful.Extra curriculum activites are a work in progress, but so far so good,I would defintly advise any parent to enroll thier kids, and get to know the office staff, and teachers they really have helped me many times...like anything else in life your attitude determines your altitiude....Go CRU!

I like this school cause it teaches me to be a good christian leader and GO CRU!

Im a current student @ balch springs christian and I have been theyre since kindergarden. im a current freshman and I have enjoyed my years @ bsca. However i do not recommend this academy for high school. The elementary program is good though. I am loking into transfering schools this year, to see and expieriance the oppurtunitys out there that this school cant offer.

i think that the school is okay. i do like the extracurricular activities although they are limited.the uniforms are not the most comfortable nor fashionable clothes ive worn but they do keep from judgement. some of the teachers however are harsh and cruel to kids and have favies. but the christian form of the school is great. the work could be a little easier and they could at least not pile it up sometimes but i think its about average.

The school is fine until you get to jr. high and high school. The way teachers treat us is different and some of them even have favorites. Sometimes the teachers blame one kid for something that another kid did. The education is ok, but the teachers aren't the best at all. I personally do not like most of the teachers and would like to see some of them leave!!!!

I noticed how smart a neighbors child was and asked what school she attended. I was told BSCA well it was time for my daughter to attend school so my wife and I looked into BSCA small school (I like that) focus on God Family and Education. I was all in and have been happy ever since. I especially like the firm discipline as this is missing from ours schools and very much needed.

My child attends B.S.C.A. now. The academics are A plus. The staff is helpful and attentive. They do have fine arts for junior high and high school. They do offer all sports and the coaches are fabulous. Parents can be included however you have to inquire. They give your child what they need for college and nothing else. They cut no slack on anyone. There are those who differ but they are the negative ones in the crowd. I love this school. And my child will graduate for there. And be ready for college.

My daughter attended 9th & 10th at BSCA because of the poor school district in the area.I thought it was within her best interest at the time. The theological teachings were wonderful, but the fundamental curriculum was very poor. The discipline was harsh and only handed out to a select few not affiliated to the associated church, Seagoville Baptist. We have since moved over 300 miles away to a wonderful school district. My advice to anyone thinking of sending their child,if they're in grade school it may be your best option given the area. Not for High school age.

I am a student here and it is a pretty good school. Its great if one starts here in kindergarten because they teach the alot of the important basics in this grade. The basics taught here lasts a lifetime

academics are excellent, art and music are well taught, sports are available but aren't most organized

This is a great school if you are looking for your child who is under 6th grade, beyond 6th grade I would not recommend this facility. I graduated from this school after attending all of my school years there. This school does not prepare for college.

My daughter has been attending BSCA for 6 years now. She is in the 5th grade this year. I have always been impressed with the academics with BSCA and the fact that they intill a Christian value along with tradidtional teachings. They use the BEKA program and it has proved to be a wonderful program. My daughter has excelled above and beyond her peers that attend public school.

I was a student at B.S.C.A in 1995, it is a fantastic school, I would not hesitate to send my daughter to this school if I lived in Texas. They have great teaching skills and are willing to help one on one with any student who is having trouble in a subject. This is a great school.!!!

I was a past student at B.S.C.A., and the two years I attended, the 'Teacher Quality' was excellent always one on one with the students. 'Extracurricular Activities' there weren't any. 'Parent Envolvement' no parents not even my own got envolved with the school. 'Safety and Discipline' every student obeyed the rules, very strict with discipline. 'Overall Quality' is your own opinion. I would never send my son to that school, I know the school inside and out.
