C M Rice Middle School Reviews

I was a student just last year at Rice. This school is really awesome. The orchestra program was fun and competitive. Mrs. Fox cares about her students and wants us all to succeed. The Student Council is also quite active in the school. For eighth graders, the NJHS encourages students to participate in the community and be active in serving others. As a co-president, the other officers and myself were able to help organize the year. I participated in the Mock Trial program as well. Rice excelled the previous year in Mock Trial and her two teams met each other in the final round. We all took trophies home. The Book Club is excellent and the library is very diverse. Mrs. MacKinney is a very experienced librarian and really loves books. The tennis and theatre programs are awesome, too. Go RMS!

Rice is a great school mainly because of the principal Ms Stelter. She is nice to the students and her smile reminds them that their in a great environment. ' She inspires me and is beautiful' said an 8th grader. Ms Stelter makes this school unique in a great way!

We moved into Rice Middle School/Plano ISD last year and, while my daughter was a bit apprehensive to change schools at first, she jumped right into extracurricular activiites, quickly made new friends and couldn't be happier. I have been so impressed by the curriculum's ability to challenge her and encourage her to strive for new levels of excellence. She's become an active member in theater, competitive speech tournaments, choir and art - this, in addition to her honors Science and Language Arts courses, will undoubtedly create a well-rounded student, with the world ahead of her. I can't say enough wonderful things about the principal and faculty - their passion for education shows in all that they do, as they take a personal interest in each child's development.
