The hotel, with 298 rooms, has been modernised to reflect a more modern feel, colour and design. I can't find a picture of my old room, but it's definitely an improvement and shares features that have been seen before at the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara. My only real mistake is that my desk is not in front of the window, and I'm not sure you would want that in Texas. But I appreciate the fact that there is electricity - controlled blackout curtains in the lobby and eaming room, and a full service bar.
I am not sure it would be better to ask for a room on the opposite side of the building, but then you would lose the view of the city centre. It is not an easy walk, and it is particularly safe at night, so I would ask the servant and use him.
Diamond guests, breakfast included, but you won't get the extra 2,500 bonus points you would have received if the club had been temporarily closed for the weekend for renovations. I can understand they will never open again, so use this and remove the sign and clean it up before you enter your bonus point, otherwise you won't get it.
